Where do you start.. The PokerSpy Team ventured out to sunny SoCal last weekend to promote our app and meet with our newly signed pro. (more details coming soon!) And what an adventure it was. We headed out via Matt’s new caddy, and after at 2:15am pitstop at Starbucks, and almost hitting a homeless person on the Trop exit, we were on our way. After a long night of grinding no one seemed tired, except me, and I had gone to sleep earlier in the evening. Of course I had just returned from Montana and Wyoming after a long relaxing vacation. We had some spirited debate about the PokerSpy App which made the lonely desert drive move by at a faster pace. As the sun came up and we pulled into Commerce around 6:30am, it was time for us to grind. For me, I would book my only winning session that morning which would be the highlight of the trip. As for the rest of the team we would make a profit of about 1k in about 2 hours before heading to nap.
The trip was spent mostly grinding the cash game tables at Commerce and brief adventure over to the Bicycle to meet with our new guy. I did want to say it was a pleasure meeting user, “WaltWhite”, as he is one of our better posters in the California rooms. Thanks for the great feedback on the App, and we are glad you enjoy it as much as us. I can promise you it’s only going to get even better! I would have to say by the end of the trip I was happy to go home. I took a small loss in regards to my bankroll, but this time I was just tired of the Commerce people. You know you are having a bad trip when someone at the Commerce tells you that you play bad. Of course, when they were buying in for 10 BB’s or so, I guess I can take that with a grain of salt. I do rec’d the Huevos Rancheros, for 3.50 it’s a steal.
My PokerSpy Teammates all booked winning sessions as we hit the road 32 hours after we arrived.
I do love the action and look forward to my next “winning” sesh when I venture back there in the future.
